What’s up guys!
Yesterday I had the opportunity to attent the launch of the new fragrance “Y” by Yves Saint Laurent (big thanks to @janvaneldere). During the event we were able to get to know the scent and the idea behind it, which captures the essence of modern men. According to YSL “Y” is not the story of one man but of a whole generation: a creative generation of men who dare to follow their passions and carve their own paths. From inspiration, through hard work and collaboration, to self-accomplishment and success. I personally love the story, as it’s very relatable to many of us. We are Generation Y and I’m pretty sure that most of us try to find our own way to go for what we want.
With Y YSL wants us to strive and accomplish, because everything starts with a why
For many years L’Homme (also by YSL) has been my signature scent, so you can probably tell that I was really curious to Y. Y is quite fresh at the top with with geranium, lavender and white aldehydes, but also strong at its base with balsam fir incense and tonka bean. According to me this fragrance is great for every day use or just for a night out. It might even become my new signature scent.. 😉
We started the evening with some nice cocktails and a dinner at Balls & Glory in Brussels. During the dinner we got some information about the scent and the campaign, which features Loyle Carner, Alexander Robicquet and David A Flinn. All of these lads have very interesting backgrounds and worked hard to achieve their goals. After the dinner we were invited to see the performance of ambassador Loyle Carner in AB, super fun! Thanks a lot to YSL for hosting this great event.
Below you can find some (low quality) images of the evening.
